SBS (styrene-butadiene-styrene) is a thermoplastic elastomer that combines rubber elasticity with thermoplastic processability and can be melted and reprocessed. SBR (styrene-butadiene rubber) is a conventional thermoset rubber that requires vulcanization and cannot be thermally reprocessed.
Linear SBS has two polystyrene end-blocks and one polybutadiene mid-block in a linear chain, giving high strength and tack. Radial (star) structures branch from a central point, offering different flow and viscosity profiles. The YH grades presented here are linear.
Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated warehouse below 30°C, away from heat, direct sunlight and ignition sources. SBS is combustible and should be kept dry to avoid agglomeration.
